doesn't have to be incorporated into the clamp.. says "at or near" in the regs.. so a seperate label is acceptable..

That describes just about every job I have done where plumbers have re-arranged the pipework that includes the bonding of the incoming water supply

Exactly! Although sometimes the person doesn't even get as far as seeing the label. A few years ago I went to a nearby house (then friend of a friend) and on finding no continuity to earth at the panel started trying to follow the route of the main earth (TT installation) until it disappeared at a new outer brick shell the owner had built. At that point he remembered that "Oh yes, the cable was in the way, so I chopped it off!"

Mind you, this is a guy who I later discovered had wired a new 9.5kW shower with 2.5 sq. mm cable, and who managed to put a screw right into the middle of the concentric supply cable.

I don't know about that - you see Legrand now own Tenby. BS 951 was probably largely written by Tenby way back in the day.

However, we now have a new version of BS 951 : 2009 and the Legrand clamp 'comforms to it' - now I wonder who made sure that happened .
