If after linking out the programmer then your cylinder stat will need replacing

To get you some water assuming no immersion heater fitted, push over the leaver and latch it into its catch , turn on your heating and turn your rads off If heating not required, turn your boiler stat to 60 degrees to avoid scalding domestic hot water

This will allow the boiler to circulate around your cylinder , turn the programmer and room stat up to 30 , on the 3 port valve slowly push over the leave when it reaches its end you should be able to latch the level into a little cut out slot to keep the valve open , you will then hear the Boiler fire , turn any rads off you do not want on and report back to tell us if your hot water in heating around 30 minutes later

Put heating only on. Is the lever loose ( in heating position). Turn heating off and water on does it spring back to water position? If the answers are yes does the boiler fire up in hw position with hw only on ? If it does a valve could be shut on cylinder return, if it dont could be programmer. Check cylinder stat by having heating and water on, turn it up and down and you should feel the motor move to and from heating only to heating and hw position.

Hi I do have an immersion heater fitted but it's on a 30 min/1 hour/2hour switch which is a bit of a pain in the morning as can not be programmed.

Now then stat up on tank to 90 and does the lever drop back to mid way ?

What we are trying to establish is whether your hot water controls are operating correctly as they influence the valves movement depending on demand in relation to central heating requirements

I put heating and hot water on, then turned cylinder stat up and down and nothing moved in the 3 port valve?

I put heating and hot water on, then turned cylinder stat up and down and nothing moved in the 3 port valve?
This proves that either your programmer or cylinder stat are faulty
