Would anyone be able to help me. I've wired in my new alarm set zones etc and now want to test before connecting the bell box.

There's is one system alert on the keypad "bell tamper" would this be the reason it won't let me do a walk test.

When I've tried it just says *none* I've check the status of the detectors are there all secure??

Confused.

To get rid of the bell tamper connect Bell terminal "(B) Bell -" to bell terminal "(C) Tamp" in the panel with a short piece of wire.

Edit: That should read: connect the bell tamper terminal "(C) Tamp" to "(D) 0V"

Thank you thought about doing that but wasn't sure if it was same as linking the zones

Thanks again

I've linked them out using a blue wire off cut from the alarm cable and still getting bell tamper on system alerts and no zones showing on walk test

Have you reset the alarm by entering a user code and then pressing reset on the keypad? This should clear the bell tamper now that you have linked it out.

Are you getting activity lights on the detectors when you walk in front of them?

Have you got a multimeter and do you know how to use it?

Did you Factory Default the panel when you first applied power to it?

Hi yeah I've entered the code and pressed reset all reset faults in alarm mode,

The pir have got power (red light) and activated when I unscrewed the case on one the other day

I've defaulted the setting a couple of times now no look

I've actual reset it after linked bell tamper and still got the bell tamper fault.

Father in law had a muli meter. What would I be checking for. The zone satus all stay secure?

Appreciate your help

have you been into engineer mode and then come out again . as it will be programmed to engineer reset for tamper unless you have changed it.

Yeah entered engineer code menu twice alarming menu the. Reset faults. I've also reset to default since linking out.

I'm sure I'm missing something obvious. Debating getting the USB and progaming it that way

No it still says bell tamper has all the time

I've had other errors but solved them one by one

This is the only remaining error

have you got a wire link between tamper and 0v left hand side bottom of pcb terminals 2 and 3 ? ?

No I've put wire through tamp and bell as suggested in 2nd post should it be 0b instead. ??

thought so... by reading post he has told you to put it between tamper and bell trip which is wrong.
