HI,
Quick question and I'm guessing the answer, but is it possible to connect both a SmartCom AND a ComGSM to a Texecom Elite 48 panel?

I'm guessing not because both of the coms ports are taken up by the SmartCom, but I thought I'd ask. If it IS possible, how would it be done?

Thanks in advance.

@sparkymarka thanks!

So I have been able to connect it up to the Digi Port with the adaptor and it seems to be happy and working (all the right LED's are on), but I cannot seem to assign it in the panel.

If I go to Comms (in Wintex) and then Com Port Options, I'm assuming that I need to set it in "Onboard Digi Com" setting? But in there there is no option to select ComGSM, I only have Com300, 2400, ISDN and ComIP modules as options.

Did I miss something on how to configure it?

Thanks again.

What firmware is the panel ? Menu 4 from unset
You may have to use com 2 for gsm and use the com 3 for ip instead

Firmware is 6.05.03LS1
The panel doesn't have a com3, only com1 and com2. The ComGSM is connected to the digi modem via the adaptor.

OK, got it working, as you suggested, I had to move ComIP to com3 and then use com2 for ComGSM and com3 for ComIP instead.

Seems to be working now as I'm getting SMS!

Many thanks!
