Am i right in thinking that zone 1 and 2 are entry/exit on the Texecom Veritas R8 or do they need to be nominated entry/exit in the programming

Zone 1 entry exit zone 2 access or entry route as factory set but all zones are programable.

Same thing different terms on different panels in other words a zone you have to go past to turn off your alarm after starting your entry timer

Basically if you have a magnetic sensor on your front door set to entry/exit when you open the front door the alarm starts bleeping, this allows you time to disarm the alarm.
If you need to pass any PIRs to unset the alarm these need to be set to Inhibited Entry, if they are set to guard then the alarm would activate as soon as you walk in front of the PIR.
