The end of gas boilers....

Yes. My point was, though, that when petrochemicals become scarce or even more expensive, there are alternatives. Methane as a fuel we can produce on our own without being subject to the control of middle eastern countries and others.

Even so, when produced on a large scale, you can be assured that the government will impost heavy taxes on its sale. Same if electric vehicles take off, tax the supply of electricity. If they could, they'd tax the air we breathe! It's inescapable.
I hate talking about polotics, but a plant close to , we were all given food bins, to put waste food in, they would be collected and sent to a Methane plant to be recycled, they have taken them away now and the food waste has to go into the garden waste bins for landfill, never believe any of the shoite about recycling

Government, local councils, they're all concerned about nothing more than how much money they can make from us one way or another.
Now if we'd all voted for Nigel Farage's Brexit Party, we'd be seeing some common sense by now!

Doesn't your garden waste go into compost?

Is that a dark red bin?

In Scotland recycling centres are now 3 days a week, fly tipping has gone through the roof , it is everywhere, yet the feckin SNP pretend they are about Scotland, a beautiful country totally destroyed by them

:ROFLMAO: You voted them in!

Total worldwide con, I live in Scotland and all the countryside is littered with wind power renewable windmills, they need electricity to start them and they need electricity to brake them, we have hundreds of thousands of them , most doing nothing, and every one would have to run flat out for 1000 years just to cancel their own Carbon footprint in producing and siting them

Wind farms are generating 26% ish of todays current electric demand, maybe its not windy enough today (y) 13% ish of our current demand in being imported from over the water.

Tell us more about your thousand year calculation.

The fact that a grid generator needs to be connected to the grid to be any use is a different matter.

we have hundreds of thousands of them

The UK has around 10,000, on and offshore

"Wind turbines produce no greenhouse gas emissions during their operation. It takes a turbine just three to six months to produce the amount of energy that goes into its manufacture, installation, operation, maintenance and decommissioning after its 20-25 year lifetime. During its lifetime a wind turbine delivers up to 80 times more energy than is used in its production, maintenance and scrapping. Wind energy has the lowest ‘lifecycle emissions’ of all energy production technologies"

and the diesel trucks that transport them, and the diesel tractors that dig the trenches for the cables and the bases, and the petrol cars that carry the workforce to erect them, and the diesel cranes that are on site to erect them, look deeper before you believe all that crap
