I hate talking about polotics, but a plant close to , we were all given food bins, to put waste food in, they would be collected and sent to a Methane plant to be recycled, they have taken them away now and the food waste has to go into the garden waste bins for landfill, never believe any of the shoite about recyclingYes. My point was, though, that when petrochemicals become scarce or even more expensive, there are alternatives. Methane as a fuel we can produce on our own without being subject to the control of middle eastern countries and others.
Even so, when produced on a large scale, you can be assured that the government will impost heavy taxes on its sale. Same if electric vehicles take off, tax the supply of electricity. If they could, they'd tax the air we breathe! It's inescapable.
