THE government has announced the order in which a Covid vaccine will be administered to Britain’s population. Find out where you are on the list:
Care workers, beginning with the most caring worker of all, the Queen
The over-80s, after a quick test to ensure they will not have a reaction against the vaccine which may seem to be centred on your voting record and intentions but is entirely medical
Health workers, beginning with the healthiest worker of all, Boris Johnson
The over-75s, following a short visual test for sufficient levels of xenophobia
Key workers including utilities workers, food distribution workers, police, HGV drivers, and social workers but not teachers, because they don’t deserve it
The over-65s, providing their comments on Daily Mail stories pass a bigotry audit
Members of Parliament with an impeccable pro-Government voting record
High-risk adults under 65 wearing poppies
Moderate-risk adults under 65 willing to sign a legally binding pledge of allegiance to Boris Johnson
Honorary key workers including company directors, hedge fund managers, recruitment agents, estate agents and the independently wealthy
The South-East, excluding London
The South-West, excluding Bristol
Red Wall seats across the Midlands and North
Wales, grudgingly

I don't believe in the vaccine, just as I don't believe in the "disease". Real money, however, is being paid to dubious companies by our dubious governments out of the real taxes of real people. We have been had.

To what ? They should try it on prisoners, then the long term unemployed, though it will be most likely given to the old and frail first, kill or cure, but a win win for the government.

What do they mean when they say the vaccine has a 90%success rate.
Is it an average of 90% among all groups, will the 10% who wont benefit be the high risk groups like the very old and those with underlying health conditions.

I believe it means that if you vaccinated 100 people then deliberately tried to infect them with Covid-19 then only 10 would catch it.
The way it works in the trial is you vaccine a proportion (half or 2/3) and then wait until a certain number of vaccinated and unvaccinated have caught Covid-19. When that number is reached you unseal the envelopes and see if they were vaccinated or not and find out if it works or not.
The Pfizer one reached an early milestone of Covid cases, so they were allowed to peek at the results to make sure nothing really bad or good is happening, but before they've got enough results to be really certain.
