I've just been watching the Ryder Cup, and why is it that americans only have 3 letters in their alphabet?

U.S.A....U.S.A

(best chanted in a moronic monotone...)

The smallest alphabet is actually the "Rotokas alphabet",which consists of only twelve letters.
Although the United states of America do use the English alphabet., which consists of 26 Letters, unfortunately the general population of the United States have only managed to master a few of these letters.
Which will account for trailer trash and Jerry Springer!

They have a problem with Vowels - eg. Alumin um . Don`t do too well with O (rings) either ..... It`s really the R i der Cup . If it was in the UK ....Our return chant could be " USA , USA , NFG

you might wanna retract the aluminum bit, it was originally spelt that way here too, we changed the spelling for reasons I don't know,

Bedfordshire has 24 letters - I often hear the chants at Kenilworth Road...

"Lu'on...Lu'on" and "come on you a'ers".

Not according to the online Oxford English Dictionary. It's still spelt with an 'ium' in the UK.

Sulphur/Sulfur is different. The OED says: In general use the standard British spelling is sulphur and the standard US spelling is sulfur. In chemistry, however, the -f- spelling is now the standard form in all related words in the field in both British and US contexts.

c'mon let em have aluminun and sulfer, just hearing a yank say thay speak "English" makes me feal so good !!!

Your vernacular is bloody fantastic. If you wish to appear 'all educated an that', get yourself in order eh.

It doesn't take much to get round the system if that's what you really want to do to make some kind of smart alec point :?

I'll have deleted my coarseness by the time you've read this - will you?
