I recollect a rather similar user name being dismayed very early on when re infections were mentioned by some countries. it went we have all had it due to that.

Here that is running at ~1% probables of ~7,000,000. Not many at all proved dead certain by sequencing as that info from long ago isn't available as wasn't done.

Best tally on people who carry natural immunity runs at about 20%. Done via blood donors. Not brilliant but gives and idea.

One reason Omicron is at higher levels here may be that we sequence far more infections than others. There has been boasts about that.

The route taken to the vaccines here and everywhere else is down to speed of making them available. Way way faster than other methods of developing a vaccine So much for the comments about them appearing to quickly. Mottie do calm down please. I have no figures; the point of my comment was "don't automatically believe the experts". Some "vaxxed/ unvaxxed in ICU" figures came out a few weeks ago and were found to be false - or, more correct to say they were true but wrongly quoted. The figures were then promulgated and accepted as truth. I won't go into detail because I have done already, see my various locked threads. Also look up the Rolling Stone magazine false covid story to see how a lie can become an accepted fact if it comes from a mainstream source.
