There's a big discrepancy regarding immigration.

Jock, read the links. I don't mean look at the pictures. I mean read the disclaimers!
Both websites and other notable organisations accept that you cannot use one set of figures to indicate another irrelevant set of data!
It's not my opinion. It's the opinion of the researchers, the people who create the data, and the owners of that data.

The only one's who are using the wrong tool are you, gasbag, Portes and Farage. Does that not tell you something?
It does you no credit whatsoever. The others had no credit anyway.

So put down that wrong tool and start using the correct tool for the job.
You're only digging yourself into a bigger hole, and probably you're using a screwdriver to do so.

The disclaimer in those instances means you can't use this data for any other imaginary purpose.
But your idol Farage has done so, so you're hardly likely not to.

Then why do you prefer to use the lower figure? (or is that far too obvious)

You really are becoming a tedious idiot.
I choose the figure that describes the data!
I do not choose the figure that specifically states, you can't use this figure to determine that!

If you insist on continuing to use the wrong tool, then there's nothing I can do to dissuade you. You carry on making a fool of yourself, insisting it's the right tool.
