Certainly looks like specialist parts Jon.
They are indeed. Hard to find now! OP is going with new boiler though. Shame really that Glowworm would probably outsee any new boiler looked after well.

When I told the little woman that I was getting a replacement part she was none too pleased especially when a company had phoned to say that they could install a new boiler on Monday. Its cold up here!! There was no guarantee that a new thermocouple would work. The Glow Worm has given me 32 years of uninterrupted service which I do not expect anything like from a modern boiler.

Good choice. Ideal are on the up and I believe that they have some outstanding engineers in Scotland if you do have any issues. I have fitted quite a few and they have performed well.
Only just seen this thread - fairly certain I have one of those thermocouples in my stock pile. Will mark it as a rare part.
