Caper is likely to get watered down or delayed

Said on the news that it’s likely to concern gas boilers and diesel / petrol cars

This 2030 date for a lot of this nonsense is likely to be pushed on ???

Sunak rumoured to be dropping it to create clear blue water between tories and labour at the next election. Politics more important than the environment.

Blup

Of course none of that was true at the time. It's just crap that people make up to ignore that modeling for climate change has been really accurate over the last 20 years.

In the 70's an ice age was predicted by 2030, countless predictions on 'peak oil' and we would all burn because of the hole in the ozone layer.
These weren't predictions by conspiracy theorists but by the scientists of the day. Of course we now know they were all wrong, making up crap though?

No it wasn't.

"Despite the majority of studies projecting warming, one common myth today misrepresents climate science in the 1970s by saying that the general understanding was of an imminent ice age. The small fraction of studies predicting cooling received a lot of media attention in the 1970s. The idea of a forthcoming ice age made for great headlines. The effect of this disproportionate media coverage persists today, as some people and organizations continue to perpetuate the idea that an ice age was predicted in the 1970s."

That's a myth. It was never mainstream science.

Who said it was? It was predicted though, wasn't it.

No, a few people suggested there might be global cooling. It was never mainstream science or an accepted prediction.

It was up there with suggestions that the LHC would destroy the world. A few sensible people suggested it as a low probability event but it was quickly decided to not be realistic.

Climate change is not doubt coming about because of far too many people on the planet

2 billion in 1920
8 billion in 2020

and rising fast meaning the worlds resources are being used up faster

So why isn't the unsustainable population growth being mentioned / discussed ?
