Overall would it be fair to say the Metros were not a bad little car being quite reliable engines?

I had a Metro Turbo... lovely little car when it moved..... I never caught a bus so much as when I had that car.

After having my van nicked I bought a Metro Studio to keep me going until I could afford my CRX.... it was a pleasure until some fúcker stole thst... Great little car.

4 speed box and 1st was that low u never needed it

In Canada I had a big Chevy van with power steering. I'd never driven power steering before. At first I was over steering and all over the place. When back home driving my Dad's Orion Ghia was like driving a tank.

I remember aged 17 I drove my boss's Vauxhall VX4 90, first time I ever drove a car with servo assisted brakes, gave it a spurt, braked hard at the end of the road and ended up with my nose pressed against the windscreen.

A mate had a VX4 90 banger, we used to go to a disused airfield and race it round, one time we smelled burning, lifted the bonnet and the battery had tipped over, short circuit & acid all over the place, a good day out

It never ceases to amaze me as to the amount of power that manus are getting out of small engines nowadays

1600 / 2 litres I have seen figures close to or in excess of 300 Bhp
