Definitely wasn’t from the Bedford TK. That 6 pot engine was nearly 5 litres I think. They were a 300 cubic inch engine. The Diesels were 220ci (4 pot) and 330ci (6pot).

Viva HA van. My very first 'works' van when I went self employed after I came home from South Africa around 1982. I lived in Crofton Road, Plaistow and used to repair cars in the street outside my house. Bought it for £30 with a holed piston. Repaired it with a secondhand piston from another engine and painted it with a roller and Dulux gloss paint!
I have had a Spitfire rebuilt from boxes of parts from ebay, a TR7 the TR6 and the Stag. Sadly now all gone, the 6 was the most fun to drive, the Stag the most relaxed cruiser.
The 6 was a centre spread in the old Triumph World magazine and won a number of awards including Club Triumph National day “the car I would most like to take home”.
