Think it was half a V8 - 1 bank of cylinders. Seem to remember that GM was planning to fit a 'small block' V8 into the FD(?) Victor or did in overseas markets. Certainly saw V8 victor at the 'Pod in the early '70's.

As I remember it, that’s an urban myth.

Hitch-hiking in the 60's, I was given a short lift in one of those - an amazingly smooth ride. Later I was tempted to buy one, until I saw the extent of the plumbing under the bonnet and the complexity, so bought a Ford Cortina.

The produced the Ventora, which was fitted with an inline 6 cylinder 3L, from I think a Bedford. Extremely torque it was drove like a train.
