Just after a bit of advice on where to start tiling my kitchen floor. I've read lots about starting from the Centre point. I have a long 'galley' type kitchen with the units across the ends and 1 wall and a doorway in the middle. Should i start in the Centre of the floor space or should i still go off the walls?
Thanks...any tips etc very welcome

Yes, you need to start in the middle of the floor to make it look symmetrical. Put a mark on the floor halfway across. Now lay some tiles down (dry) first with the edge of a tile in line with your mark to see what size cut you get against the unit legs. On another tile put a mark halfway along the tile edge. (eg if its a 300mm tile, put a mark at 150mm) Now lay this tile down with the mark on the tile in line with the mark on the floor, and see what size cut you have against the unit legs. One of these 2 layouts will give you a big cut, the other small, set out your kitchen for the big cut, looks much nicer. Hope that makes sense!
