Our extended kitchen (c/o previous owner) has a concrete floor with a manhole right in the middle. The floor is nearly level so are opting for tiles to make up the minor un-evenness.
The problem is that the existed manhole cover which is one of those double seal ones with 4 heavy duty screws and the cover has already been filled in with concrete to make is flush with the rest of the floor.
How do I go about laying any kind of flooring over the top. I know that I have to leave access. The manhole size 675mm x 530mm. Do they do make oversize access covers to go over the top which will take tiles?
