There are a few things I'd like to go back and see...Romans landing UK/Ice age, mammoths etc/Prehistoric man...But I have a feeling none of us modern types would survive for long in the past.

Seriously, would probably go back to the 50s and 60s. Was there ever a better time to be living in the UK? Being born in the mid 60s,
Born just 10 years before you and yes , it was good - but that`s from a Rural parochial perspective  Tho` I did have a couple of trips to London as a nipper - it really was The Smoke then

I would like to go back to victorian London, just for the day and ancient Egypt, again just for the day. It would be great to see all the temples when they were first built and in stunning colours.

I would also like to go back and spend christmas day with my grandparents and find out more about them as people and not just my grandparents.

flitting round all over and answering all of the outstanding questions of history has to be a priority? Watch stonehenge being built? Or more recently find where Brady buried Keith Bennnet, etc etc

Why would anybody want to go back in time when you could visit the future?

what would you like to find?

Well I don't know, which is why I think going forward is far more fascinating than going back. I'd be interested to see what happens, not what has already happened, we know a lot about that already.

Who was it who said something like "I'd trade the rest of my life today for three days of living in the future" ? Sounds like a Mark Twain quote but I cannot find it.

I would fancy going back in time to London late geogian-vitoran era and walk round some building sites say Islington or Notting hill ,That's probably a bit sad but there would have been big swayges of land under consruction you could wander round with a bass over your shoulder have look and a chat go for a few pint's of ale after work, but I dont know how you would buy your round, perhaps a pocket full of Stanley tapes would do it.

I think I'd go back in time to various intervals, timed just right, to save the lives of the kids killed by pure monster f*ckwits.
Not only to save lives, but to serve justice.

I wouldn't want to go forward. I already know what's coming.
