They think their treasonous behaviour is funny, something to be laughed at.
This country is bloody finished.

If somebody came up with a coherent plan, then why not.

Til then, no, not for me. I prefer realism, even though I don't think anybody has got a real grip on the subject yet.
So who did you vote for, what was their plan and how did it go?

What’s the context of that photo? Just been pulled from the sea and waiting to enter a safe compound or maybe it’s the dinner queue?

I don't know. I only found out about the Greek camp system yesterday, after reading your article. I took one of the photos off Wikipedia. There are two other photos on there. My question was about, when faced with the reality of seeing asylum seekers in detention camps, would the British public really want it. I honestly don't know. I haven't followed this issue a great deal until recently, and I am getting up to speed. There is an enormous amount to get your head round, when you try to follow it from country of origin, via the different trafficking routes, and the different methods various countries use to try and stop it. Something that struck me a few weeks ago was when the Reform spokes person was asked about where asylum seekers would be housed, she wouldn't give an answer.

Asylum seekers kept in a secure environment until their claim is decided? There certainly wouldn’t be any demonstrations against that. I honestly think the majority really would.

I think probably that is true. But I was mainly surprised by the Reform person refusing to answer. I thought it was a no brainer for them to say they would build detention camps, and that they would jump at the chance. Which made me wonder whether they fear it wouldn't actually be popular after all. It is not something we have done here for many decades, as far as I know, so this would be something new for everyone. Does it feel British. I don't know.

The boats started becoming a thing in 2018, following Calais security being improved and many other factors.

We are very weak on immigration. If Trump were in charge here I bet they would stop quickly
- Migrants turned around/sent back to France
- Processed off shore and sent back to origin way quicker
- France would be annoyed and would very quickly stop allowing them into their country
- Migrants would get the message and stop trying this route.
Just like numbers skyrocketed under Biden and are way lower under Trump, could be different here but with Starmers weakness on immigration they will continue to rise

We are very weak on immigration
How?

Won’t work.

France would simply have police blocking U.K. border force from unloading.

would very quickly stop allowing them into their country
Really?
