If their claims can be heard in France, who by? Who chooses which ones are heard? Why can’t they look at all of them in France and make it an absolute given that any boat arrivals will not be given asylum? That will surely "smash the gangs".

Usually when someone suggests this idea they get shot down by the right wingers. I am not actually sure how processing claims in France would work. How many would we agree to accept.
