TOM TOM SCREEN HOLDER

my lovely girlfriend bought a replacement screen mounting base for her tom tom , unfortunately it was not the normal suction base but an adhesive type. she of course peeled off the backing paper and stuck it on the screen . she now wants to remove it, but it is stuck fast. does any one know how i can remove it without cracking the window screen. help please Michael

Have you tried white spirit or (petrol) lighter fluid? In small quantities.

Also a blade from a small 'snap-off' type knife. The blade being long and thin will flex to the contours of the screen and enable the cutting edge to get in behind the bracket.
