hi all,

I need advise on types of tools

I need to redo a ring curcuit on my ground floor. this has been re wired at some point but not very neatly. therefore all i need to do is change the sockets for better ones and bury the cables in either the brick work or stud. i was wondering what tools you would recoment for this. to minimise me getting a shock.
I have done this type of work before but just used basic tools.

thanks for any advise

Firstly, you should be working on a dead circuit unless absolutely necessary.

For basic kit try this:

There are loads of thing like this, have a look on ebay as well.

For chasing a into brickwork you will need ideally,

Club Hammer, cold chisels or large and small bolster, pencil & spirit level,

Also be carefull before attacking your walls there are no existing circuits or pipes underneath.

Oh and lots of dust sheets and a hoover ;)
