Hi

New home with 2 zone heating, an issue with B showing heat however boiler doesn’t kick in. M downstairs absolutely fine everything works. Have linked out the normally open contact within B and still no firing up of boiler proving TPONEB is ok.

Anyone aware as to whether TPOne B contact cable connects to TPOne M or does it go to wiring centre? Also ultimately how do these controllers (or wiring centre) connect to the boiler as I don’t see any cables coming into boiler except mains power?

Am an electrician historically by trade but not for a number of years and tend not to get involved these days but just checking the basics has my mind questioning the setup.

Regards!

Sounds like a loose/broken switch live for the motorised valve or a failed motorised valve. How new is the house, are we talking new build or new to you?

Hey thanks!

It’s new build only two years old, heating didn’t work when moved in due to poor connections in the switch box or somewhere (not controllers).

I would be looking at the motorised valve switch live back to the boiler or the switch live into the valve actuator

Perfect, had a look in the switched valve briefly last night didn’t see anything loose but will go again double check. Just for clarity do you know layout of cables, so TPOne B to where, TPOne M to where (both to switch box?) then a signal cable out boiler or?

Have a look in here (circled red), if you have any test gear, create your demand for the tpone b and check the brown in with a known earth or neutral, should get 240vac. If you get the voltage then suspect the actuator/motor. I won't know which is which by layout
