Tree sap has discolored my paintwork

I had blackspots on my car after some rain. I was advised that it was tree sap. I was asked to use turtle wax to get rid of it. I have tried that and it didnt work. Any alternative ideas will be appreciated. Thank you all.

a clay bar should shift it or even a more abrasive polish such as autoglym super resin,you can get them in halfords
