My loft access door swings down when opened and keeps hitting the plasterboard wall. What can I use to stop this from happening?

Never open it.
Could go with a metal locking arm Like this even tho i think that ones for a car door.. but same principle and can get them for windows and gates etc..
Or go real cheap and use a piece of solid string/chain nailed to a descrete location in the loft near the hatch and the access panel.. maybe one each side if you tend to drop the door..
