NATO needs the US more than it cares about Greenland, is the gamble Trump is considering.

Anyone can be tempted by those numbers. However, they are a democracy. Stig Johansson with gambling debts would sell in a heartbeat. Others may not be so keen. However, you need to look at why they are there in the first place. It's hardly the French riviera. These folks might not be tempted by money and fine french cuisine.
