Trying to work out soil pipe size

I'm finally getting round to updating the downstairs WC. The house was built in 1971 and this could be the original toilet. It's connected to the soil with a Multikwik straight connector. The OD size of the toilet is approx 110mm and the OD of the Multikwik connector is approx 120mm. I need to know the actual size of the soil pipe so that when I remove the toilet I can temporally cap it off.

The toilet is firmly fixed to the floor so it might end up being broken to remove which is why I would like to have something ready to cap it.

Depends if it is plastic or not, just stretch a rubber glove over it.

I'm pretty sure the soil pipe is clay as it's 55 years old. I would rather have a correct sized connector so that I can cap that off and it's ready for when I fit the cupboard round it.

A 110mm cap should fit into the pan connector, you'd need to measure the clay to get the correct one.

No, but I can fit a normal size soil connector to it and cap that, then once I fit the WC I only have to take the cap off and connect it up.

If it's a standard multikwick pan connector then typically the pipe it would fit would be 110mm. The Fernoc will not fit as the pipe that the pan connector is fitted into is level with the ground.

Usually toilet spigots are around 105mm so refit a new multikwik and a normal 110mm socket plug should then fit nicely. Need to be careful how long the blank stays in as it may stretch the pan connector.

If a 110mm pan connector fits just now then one of these may do too, minus the pan connector of course-
