Tying and Existing Wall to New Wall

Hi

I am having a double skin brick wall extension build and there is some debate if the new outside wall should be tied into the existing brick work with something like
Staifix Universal Wall Starter System? The internal block work has been tied in with this stainless steel fixing system. See attached photo.

I would appreciate the views of those that know more about this than me.

It needs to be tied one way or another. Wall starters allow for any movement, toothed bonded does not.

Insertion of that vDPC is a good sign that the builders know what they are doing.
