The UK are to transfer two Royal Navy minehunter vessels to Ukraine to assist the safeguarding of the export routes for grain shipments.
The only problem is how to get them into the Black Sea via the Bosphorous as it is controlled by Turkey which is blocking access to all warships.

Next year will see start of negotiations, when Trumps gets into power, war over and Putin gets to keep it. Then the process to lower energy cost will start to filter through and Europe will start to receive gas again.
Israel will have removed Palestinians out of Gaza, they will start gas extraction from Gaza Fields and send to Europe as well.

According to Article 19 of the 1936 Montreux Convention; when there’s a war that doesn’t involve Turkey, warships from the warring states can’t use the straits — unless they’re returning to home bases in the Black Sea...Military ships can also pass through, under certain conditions, and only if advance warning is given...Turkey has the discretion to close the strait to warships of all nations party to a conflict. It may also do so if it fears an “imminent danger of war.”

The UK and Ukraine made the deal for the two minehunters in June 2021, before Russia’s full-scale invasion. Ukrainian soldiers have been training on the ships since last year. London has also provided military training courses to around 20,000 Ukrainians over the past year.

A minehunter is a defensive rather than an offensive naval vessel which should also help Turkey to make the decision to allow access.
Their productivity levels are almost as low as British Leyland in the 1970s, i always wondered where all those so called "workers" went after BL went bust.

True. They can also accurately map the mines planted by the Russian Navy to help Merchant ships pass safely through the war zone. It's interesting they're working with the Norwegian Navy in the region. I imagine they'll work closely in future to keep an eye on Russian subs passing through the Kattegat and Jutland.

My old man was a shipyard welder, (he actually served his apprenticeship as a riveter as welding hadn't been invented yet).
Before WW2 he travelled all over Britain working in different shipyards.
He said that back home grass was growing on the slipways and the Unionist government wouldn't intervene to help.
However, once war started and the Yanks arrived, money was no object, he was working 7 days a week, he was getting paid in wads of big white fivers.
Wishful thinking. Things will not be going back to how it was. The russians have said they are a civilisation separate from europe. Cheap energy prices will no longer be possible. If you are banking on everything back to normal, you are in for a shock. After the war, the world will be a very different place. The war is very far from over. We don't know what the chinese will do with all the gold they have accumulated. They can't be eating them, that's for sure.
