Sorry, I had to post this. We had a laugh about it at work, and thinking back, how did I keep a straight face?

This bloke comes up to me and asks if we have any plain weetabix. He's stood in front of them, so I point them out. Two rows of 12 packs, and two rows of 24 packs below them (some with 50% extra no less). He says "no, I want plain ones"

"They are plain", replies I.

He picks up a pack and shows me the back, where there's a picture of two weetabix garnished with fruit and yoghurt.

I had to explain to him that this is a serving suggestion, and the photo on the front of the pack, of PLAIN weetabix still applies. God forbid he start asking me about Weetaflakes, or Oatibix!

I worked in Shoppers Paradise (Part of Fine Fare, then Gateway now Somerfield) in 1985.

Old dears were always giving us the packs of carpet freshener, saying "it's only half full" & "I'm having this one, it's got more in than the others"....

We had to explain they are packed by weight, not volume.

Our olive oil is kept opposite the fridges. On the bottom shelf. Hence its cold. A customer brought back a bottle of olive oil he'd bought. "The wife said it should be clear". Sure enough, the olive oil was very cloudy, despite being well in date. I gave him his money back. Then I read on the back of the bottle "may turn cloudy below 10 degrees". So I took this chap's bottle into the office, left it on the top shelf overnight. Sure enough, in the morning it was clear. I should have guessed really, since all the other bottles on the shelf are cloudy

Not sure if it spoils the taste of olive oil in any way? but chocolate does get spoilt i think even though they say it doesnt.
