picked up a bargain undertile electric heating kit. wire based rather than mat. Question is what to lay on the chipbaord floor before laying the wire. The floor obviously needs a sub-base, is 12mm ply fine, then cable, or do I need tile backer? should I then use a primer like thermo coat, or instead of ply/ tilebacker should I use a insulation board.
AS the heating kit was cheap, I do not want to spend much, if 12mm ply without primer will do the job, that will do me.
Any advice?
