thinking about having under floor heating for kitchen under tiled floor. Am i correct in assuming this just gets wired up to a spur socket?

It is normally just supplied from an FCU connected to either a dedicated circuit from the CU, or more frequently an FCU on the local socket circuit.

UFH must be RCD protected. If your sockets are RCD protected at the CU then you can just use a standard FCU. If not then you must either use an RCD FCU, or install an RCD to the socket circuit.

does £195 for 4 sq metres of devimat underfloor heating and timer/therostat sound ok?

thanks, to save putting any more holes in wall could i just theromstat in the place of a single socket swtich which already exists in the kitchen

is it possible to join two devimats together as we ve decided to increase amount of under floor heating, or can u wire up two devimats to one thermostats

No, it needs Fuse protection, and a local isolator, both are afforded by an FCU.

It depends no the rating of the heaters.
