I’m going to have a 2.4 metre run of 27mm oak worktop.
I have a 600mm base unit at each end which the worktop will be screw to with slots to allow for the cross grain expansion.
In the centre of the 2 units will be a span of 1200mm for the washer dryer.
I was planning to run a piece of 34mm x 34mm timber along the wall to a) attach the units to as it all stands off for the plumbing etc and b) to provide a full then support for the worktop along the back edge.
Would this be enough to prevent sag, or should I fit an end panel between the integrated washer and freestanding dryer?
