I’m going to have a 2.4 metre run of 27mm oak worktop.
I have a 600mm base unit at each end which the worktop will be screw to with slots to allow for the cross grain expansion.
In the centre of the 2 units will be a span of 1200mm for the washer dryer.
I was planning to run a piece of 34mm x 34mm timber along the wall to a) attach the units to as it all stands off for the plumbing etc and b) to provide a full then support for the worktop along the back edge.

Would this be enough to prevent sag, or should I fit an end panel between the integrated washer and freestanding dryer?

Leg or panel between the two appliances.
You can buy a narrow leg vs one of those fat one's

Yeah I’m more inclined to go with the panel as it will probably blend in better with the cabinet doors etc

If you use a panel that is not as wide as the units, it will not be seen.

Yeah I was going to bring it to the front, flush with the washer door to put it on show, otherwise I’ll need to leave a 20mm gap either side of the dryer which could look a bit odd?
