I had a new UPVC door fitted on my porch last year, it shut fine to begin with, but over time I have trouble locking it. The door shuts OK, but pulling the handle up to engage the locking pins when the door is shut is very difficult, I need to exert a lot of pressure to get it to lock smoothly. When the door is open, the locking pins engage fully and the handle moves fully and freely as normal.
Each hinge has 2 Allan Key screws at the bottom and Phillips on the side. The Phillips screws are all loose, should they be?
The gap at the top right is about 5mm, which seems to be just enough to stop the locking pin engaging, if I close the porch from inside, give it a little push at the top and lock, this works fine.
How can I fix this?
