US warns Putin

The Cambridge English dictionary defines hysteria as: "extreme fear, excitement, anger, etc. that cannot be controlled". I think to call the media/press/news outlets out for their hysteria over the seasonal virus is justified.

Wonder how the talks between senile Biden and Comrade Putin are going?

I chose a medical definition. Mass hysteria figures too but youtube etc hysteria is a more subtle example of the same thing. Why did for instance a number of people decide to burn a 5g mast and others think they would be injected with a tracking device. Some still see covid as a myth, some sort of plot. Similarly some people are heavily influenced by duff information.

Conspiracy theories are similar
 
The present tension between the U. S. and Russia was to be expected as soon the Democrats were elected.
Hilary Clinton wasn't much better, she gloated over the death of Gaddafi.
Trump for all his faults tried to reach out to the likes of Putin and do business with Russia and other leaders like that little fat bloke in N. Korea.

there is also some caper between Russia and Japan over some disputed island

Russians have stationed some missile system there ??
