Vaillant diverter valve Improved design?

Hey Agas , if he ain't got it right then it serves him right...:ROFLMAO:

YOU WAS WARNED :LOL::LOL::LOL::LOL::LOL:

sounds like you are always fiddling with your boiler . hope you tell the service engineer what you have done ( i don't think you will )

What was I warned about? As I've already said I've completed the job and all is good so what's the problem?

I'll tell him exactly what I've done and if he's got an attitude as bad as you lot I'll ask him to leave my house.

So you are asking for advise on how to replace a part on an appliance you shouldn't be working on?
I was talking to the local gardener today when he told me he replaced a monobloc mixer tap this morning , he also told me the water has been left off due to him cross threading the flexi hose to which he will try and "sort out" next week some time...
So the customer is without water @ kitchen sink until "some time next week"......:ROFLMAO:
It just about sums up you DIYers.:)

So you can't even describe how you think it works after accusing me of being wrong? You've just changed the subject now.

As I've already said I'm a qualified EIM engineer so I think I'm capable of changing a diverter valve. It's not rocket science.

So cold fill pressure has been set to?????

I normally set it to around 1.5 bar. Vaillant recommend anything from 1-2 bar.

has got him thinking now gaswizard , can hear his thinking from here.

Thinking about what? I know what cold fill pressure is (y)

Hey Agas , if he ain't got it right then it serves him right...:ROFLMAO:

It's not rocket science. It's in the manual.

how does the song go " there's trouble ahead ..........

I think you're thinking of Nat King Cole's 'Let's face the music and dance' The lyric is actually 'there may be trouble ahead'

Why do you think there's trouble ahead? I have followed the manual to the letter so what's the problem.

I'm not expecting an answer because I know you're just scaremongering.

Crack on...
If all is good and you feel satisfied in what you have accomplished then why the fook is this thread still going?

I thought it would be the end of the thread after I posted about doing the job satisfactorily but you guys decided to jump on me again

So no explanation on how I'm clueless about the pressure vessel?

 you better get that service done soon after all that fiddling

It will be serviced as it is overdue. The only gas related item that has been compromised is the front cover so I'm not expecting too much drama.

Roughly as a percentage how many covers do you find don't reseal properly after being removed and reinstalled?

DO WE SMELL YOU HAVE TROUBLES  seriously thou , make sure that case is fitted properly before turning it on , if you have probs , take off and try again as you understand we are not there . a picture MIGHT help

No troubles. The cover has been reinstalled with no problems. I'm just curious to know how many covers fail to seal properly. How many Vaillants similar to mine have you known the front cover fail to seal properly?

tbh i don't know because those people that do it rarely calls rgi because they fix problems themselves  .thats why we partly react with people taking cover off ( co going into room ) . i only know I've fitted it properly .

A lot specifically your model
but that's usually down to the service being missed
