Boiler has had a new water valve (part No: 011299) new air release fitted, also Prv changed also!
When boiler is topped up to 1.5 Bar Central heating working - but pressure rises & then water drips from PRV even after new valve fitted!

My question is what else can cause pressure to rise / loose pressure after water has dripped away?

After water valve was changed hot water was quieter and no more dripping around boiler!

Many thanks in advance Jason

Just noticed that when bath was running boiler was firing up then cutting out in cycles of about 1 min intervals!

water valve part No 011299 does not have the mini expansion vessel!!

Forget the redundant mini e/vessel and concentrate on the big e/vessel, alternatively get an engineer experienced in breakdowns

Checked valve on big expansion vessel - water squirted out!

Will be trying to locate an experienced Valliant engineer in the NN15 area tomorrow!

The sun is out so might just switch to water only for now as that is working still!

Had a look at the main expansion tank - pressed the valve & water squirted out, No air!!!

So would this mean getting a plumber in to fit an external Expansion tank?

Many thanks again for help so far!

If ALL the water is let out then it might be possible to repressurise the EXV and give it another lease of life!

You should read the FAQ on this site. They cover everything that you have already asked.
