Veritas 8 remote keypad. key problem

One of the number keys on my remote keypad needs pressing to the point of almost pushing my finger through the wall. That's when it works at all. (i now have a code that does not use that button)

I assume (like a TV remote) the keypad contacts need a good clean?

Can anyone enlighten me on how to open it up? Is it a striaghtforward job?

No just buy a new keymat off ebay around £7 or replace keypad, they are not a carbon mat keypad

A few others and I sell these on ebay, but cheaper if you buy on the ebid site

Note ebid is just cheaper to sell on than ebay, but ebay has a bigger following.

I have ordered a keypad. Does the front of the remote panel clip off or is it screwed?

Do I need to isolate the mains/batter or remove any fuses?

Old one look on underside two small holes, push up screwdriver to pop off....new one screwed front top right and left, remove blanking plates
