Veritas 8 Tamper Light is On

Hello,

Window cleaner accidentally hit the bell outside and it went off – had to take the battery out to make the sound go off. Now the tamper light stays on all the time.

I had similar issue before but re-loading to factory setting resolved it. This time, reset this did not work and now doesn’t even accept the reset code. 0 7 – makes a beeping sound.

Any ideas what I can do to get rid of the constant tamper light (the alarm is not working)?

Managed to reset now but tamer light is still on. Using a stick to push the bell, it doesn't even sound. Any ideas what I need to do get the bell box / tamper to go away?

Bell box tamper circuit could be open circuit.
You will need to check the lid on the bell box, whilst up ladder possibly adjust micro switch on bell box.

FFS Why do people think defaulting the panel will clear a problem that is external to the control panel ….

I am a newbie guys, not sure how it worked last time, but I did reset it...how much do you think t will cost me to sort this out?

depends on how much you messed up, the advantage is you have the history, so call out fee probably get it sorted if we were doing it.

All it needed tapping the outside bell and tamper light went off, then reloaded factory settings and worked.

Jesus …. Nothing to do with reloading settings …. Get ladders out and check that the bell box is securely fixed to the wall and that the tamper switch is adjusted correctly
