Hi
Has anyone got an opinion as the the output of vertical radiators compared to normal rads, ie the colour effects the output. Also the one I'm replacing is a type 21 600×600 what size would I need to replace it.?
Cheers
If you are talking about tubular column (designer) rads then invariably there are 2 camps.
One that says they work fine and the other that says due to the way they heat the air around them (they have a higher % of radiant to convecting heat profile than a traditional convecting rad), they have been found to be less efficient (takes longer) to heat med>large spaces .... I'm in the 2nd camp. (Convecting rads are typically the most efficient @ space heating)
When it comes to output, then "the output is the output" if you see what I mean. So it's not how much heat a radiator can deliver per sé, more so how it delivers that heat into a given space.
