I have heard a lot of talk recently both on this forum and among some of my aquaintances about people taking the law into their own hands.
It has even been suggested that groups of people have already banded together to protect their own areas.
I have been relatively fortunate as "touch wood" I have not been on the receiving end of some of these scum bags for many years.
However I see and read of the effects on others and often wonder, would I be prepared to go to that extent to defend my family and property, the answer is yes, would you. ?

there are one or two fellows round our way, that have their own form of justice for smack heads.

these aren't the sort of chaps that you would particularly like to cross.

one got banged up recently for attempted murder.

the smack head he was chasing was so terrified that he jumped from a three storey flat, rather than have to deal with the vigilante.

very brutal, but i'm fairly sure that there were a lot of people secretly smiling when the smack head broke both legs and his pelvis.

the morphine that he will need for the pain will not have the desired effect, i'm sure.

shame.

Some people deserve everything thats coming to them. Unfortunately the vigilantes often go too far. As noseall told.

We're better off without gangs of violent citizenry roaming the streets.

Answerable to no-one

Death squads sometimes, but just see what happens when a bar-room brawl results in a death in an Ulster pub, when the murderers are IRA men they get away with it.

Careful. Both sides as bad as each other.

im surprised there are not more vigilante's about,if you ring the police they do nothing either because there hands are tied with all the red tape protecting the thiefs or hoodies rights or they cant be bothered.
If you break the law you should forfeit those human rights

If you beat someone up then there's a good chance you'll kill them - then YOU are the biggest crim of the lot.

If you don't like the soft laws then lobby your MP.

Sounds like a smart answer, but it's naive and bull.

Surely, they shouldn't even need lobbying - isnt it just plain old common sense? Same with immigration issues - they know the problem exist, but they havnt got a clue.

It would take years for anyone to listen let alone do anything tangible. Some of the gangs ( local and foreign ) around here are so 'bedded in' and fearless that it would take major change in policy to effectively deal with them. This would also mean that MP's would have to admit there actually is a problem, and they wont. Our local MP believes ( or IMO, told to say ) that the problems are 'perceived' and not real.

Also, our local MP is a rabid lefty and is as pc as they come. My brother attended a local residental meeting about local 'low level' crime. Our MP's true colours shone like a beacon. Everyone was basically dismissed and told that crime figure are actually down. Granted, this fool will be voted out next time round, but who's to know the true colours of who is voted back in? They certainly dont mention it come election time. Asking an MP to effectively lobby and campaign on your behalf, even though it is against thier own personal views is a bit naive IMO.

In the meantime, we are left to deal with the situation the best we can.

What immigration issues? Surely you know by now that immigration is good for our country? What you are suggesting is getting pretty close to anarchy and race wars. Is that what you are saying?

I think that Star Trek had the right idea..

a random "Zone" is selected every day, and any crime commited in that zone is punishable...

the only punishment is death by lethal injection on the spot..

you'd think twice about talking on your mobile while driving then if you didn't know which "zone" was active..

dont give the mods any more ideas to boost their power on here

Pointless lobbying MP's...they know the answers they know how people feel but they wont do a thing..sadly it took the pole tax riots to get the point across...what an awful situation, and the ironical thing was most of the rioters were the 'rent a cause' stinking hippies who dont pay any anyway.

Im all for a bit of street justice in the right measure, my daughter was recently burgled by a smack head who lived next door..he had her stuff away that she stored in a shared attic.

Vermin like that laugh at the police and the law..they have absolutly no respect for it whatsoever...they live by a different set of rules and principles...so the justice they recive should befit their way of life...

And if I had got hold of him on the night he would have got a bloody good kicking.

I (rightly or wrongly) felt like that because he 'hurt' a member of my family (who is also 6 months pregnant) I knew whatever official justice he would receive would be a joke...so I wanted to dish my own out instead.

Instead we have settled for the 'civilised' option..i.e. the 'law'...this is the same 'law' by the way that offered the vile slag a caution in return for the stuff he nicked..so next time he will have to be a little more careful when he break into someones house...

When people are disatisfied with something they tend to take the law into their own hands...if we had real sentances then the scum might think twice about carrying guns knifes or robbing people.

Until then there is always going to be 'the alternative' waiting for them.

The downside of vigilaties...when people get it wrong, and they have many times..there have been quite a few well documented cases where suspected noces cases have had a spanking and been totally innocent...that, is totally unacceptable.

Oh and Joe...as you were either fishing about the race issue...or you have suddenly become a born again!!..

The next lot of race riots will be a different kettle of fish..it wont be a case of a few skinheads beating up a black fella here and there or vice versa...it will be GUNS..and the police will be in the middle of it..

I hope it doesnt happen...but ive got a feeling one day it will..god forbid.
