Just been for a nice walk with The Dog wife and my Girls.

At the bottom of us is a meadow and a Brook. I see a King fisher a little Wren and heard a Wood pecker. Beautiful down there:

Except people think its ok to dump their Sofas there Vacuum cleaners and the odd Supermarket trolly. There are also people living down there.

We walk across the main road and walk to the pond we set out for. We heard its been tidied up and looks good.

And they have done a good job. looks great. I got talking to a fella he told me that this was funded but all the work was carried out by Volunteers.

Thank God we have these people because we also have a lot of Scum who think it acceptable to chuck their rubbish out of the Car window or dump waste down a beautiful country lane.

I do do my bit but maybe not enough as I could.

Don't you think we all need to do our bit to attempt to make our country a more pleasant country for us all to live in and point out the Scum.

Does my nut in when I see the amount of rubbish tipped out unto the road sides. After I go to clear it up I want to go to these people and smash their vehicle windows in and leave the rubbish on their seats.
Every inch of the roads should have cctv to catch these scum.

Agreed and the cost of setting up cameras should be covered by who is caught by them each time in full.

needs a cultural change.. littering needs to be seen as utterly socially unacceptable... start with very heavy punitive fines.. there is absolutely no excuse for it.

If rubbish is tipped on private land, it becomes the land owners responsibility to clear it up. Farmers must love that!

The 'scrap metal collectors' that come round our industrial estate, have on occasions picked metal out of the skip, and then dump an old fridge to the side. Its on private land so council not interested, environment agency not interested. I had to end taking the fridges to the tip myself.

It's disgusting and a cultural shift is needed for sure, and also the councils and dumps. Skip loads of rubbish are often dumped down country lanes so they don't pay. People throw their larger stuff because the councils charge for them to be collected too. I think they need to work out which costs more, cost of tidying up all over the countryside or collecting the odd bit of furniture/heavy goods from homes for free.

I once witnessed someone empty their car ashtray on the floor then go shopping. Someone else saw it too and picked up all the cigs and gave them back through their open sunroof. Was class :)

I hate when I throw a bit of tissue or a small sweet wrapper in the bin and the wind catches it.

I have go chasing it down the street. :)

There is a large roundabout near me, it goes over the M23. There are council signs warning how people have to endanger their lives picking up litter discarded out of vehicles. They also have a sign saying how much it costs the council, I cant remember exactly but its a huge amount......all which totallly unnecessary, just because people cant take their rubbish home.

I was going up the A10 one spring day. Some lad in his convertible Escort threw out some rubbish.

This enraged me. I had a half drunk strawberry Milk shake that I intended to splatter on his back seat. But the tosser knew I was coming for him I could see the fear in his mirror.

He was the one that got away.

That's a bit mean.
;)

I was in a park when a woman did not pick up her dogs mess.

A bloke near her asked her to pick it up and she gave him a faceful and walked off. He picked up the siht and put it in her hood.

Bit like this clip:

While I was gone, a couple of fellas turned up to a job Im doing and said to my elderly customer. The boss told us to take the rubbish away. £400 please.

My mate phones me checking. "No tell then to sod off, I never even spoke to them". Now if my mate was not there my very elderly customers could have been fooled by this.
No doubt all this crap would have ended up down some country lane. If this was then track back to us we would have got a big fine.

Do these rubbish collectors get pulled up and checked once in a while, d you think?
