hi there, my valkera boiler will not fire up, its making all the right noise's, it was moved from one room to another by my plumber mate but he could not test it as electrics were not done yet , it has not been on for 3 months, now its wired and green light is flashing, but after 5 minutes it goes red. ?? help. thanks.

I'll Bet that nobody has Purged the Gas supply to the new boiler position, Get your RGI to come back and Purge thae Gas supply

if the boiler has been moved, then it should not be used until your "plumber mate" has commissioned it and done all the appropriate tests.

ok, start from the start.

gas on from meter to appliance and yellow valve under boiler open?

system filled and vented to between 1 and 1.5 bar?

in hot water mode, turn on bath tap....describe what happens, and any approx times for a lockout

in central heating mode, turn on ch.....describe what happens, and any approx times for a lockout

do you have a gas cooker or hob? hows the flame picture look on them

(1) gas on , boiler open (2) sitting at 2 bar, (3) for water and heating it locks out in 10 minutes, (4) flame on hob is blue but yellowly-white at tips of flame.

probably ntc thermistors a bit out (cost about £8 each, see install manual for how to replace, its very easy )

although it might be an idea to get your mate to check flue and all its bends and terminals and seals
