volvo 2.4 d5 diesel in the engine oil

where can i send a sample of oil to see how contaminated the oil is as the oil level is about 25mm above the max mark on dip stick

now vovo are going to do some soft ware up grade but are refuseing to change the oil even though the car is only just over 1 year old

does it have a particualte filter? and is the car used round town frequently?
I seem to recall that DPFs can cause the oil level to rise if only used on short journeys, and the DPF would need a clean out more frequently, I was looking at a mazda 5, and this cropped up as a particular problem on them.

yes it does

car mostly does 4-5 miles at a time

so is it soot or diesel that had bulked up the oil in the sump and how does it get there

Millers Oils.co.uk used to do oil analysis so it could be worth trying them.
I have heard that on some engines, diesel can be allowed to leak by the injectors when the engine is off - but I've no idea if thats true or not.
