Wago connector query

I see on Amazon that the 221 is about 2cm x 2cm x 1cm so seem pretty small and doable.

Although those figures are correct (for a 3-way Wago 221) when "rounded to the nearest cm", they are actually a bit pessimistic (in terms of 'limited space'). I've just measured a couple ...

3-way Wago 221 .... 1.87cm x 1.83cm x 0.81cm
2-way Wago 221 .... 1.30cm x 1.83cm x 0.81 cm

BUT another ad says one of the two way connectors is 50cm X 50cm X 50cm. !!!!!! Must be a special for use by national grid............

Goodness knows what they intended. Even 50mm x 50mm x 50mm would still probably be National Grid stuff (but, at least, the figures would then be in roughly the right ballpark for a WagoBOX)!

As I just wrote, even if they meant mm, then a Wago measuring 50mm x 50mm x 50mm would probably be of little interest to anyone other than the National Grid

Be aware that there are multiple subseries of the wago 221 series. 221-6xx are a fair bit bigger than 221-4xx. If you are working in a limited space be careful which you are buying.

Regarding measurements, frequently Amazon are referring to the package size rather than the individual product size. I guess that it's of more interest to them as they have to get someone to transport them. Doesn't explain this particular case of course.
