Wall socket failing? Please help

Yes. It looks to me that the socket and the Fused Connector Unit are on the Ring Final Circuit correctly.

The FCU is to supply the DW socket correctly however someone has wrongly tapped into the FCU to supply the lights (brown and blue wires).

So, when you turn off the lights the DW won't work anyway.

However, if the DW doesn't work when the switch is on that still leads to a faulty single socket.
 
The FCU is a double pole switch which isolates both the live and neutral.

With that lighting blue neutral wired into the socket the neutral cannot be isolated. This is not dangerous as such, but very misleading for anyone working on the lighting.

It is likely that the lighting wiring should have a lower fuse.
