Hello

can anybody shed some light on my problem
the boiler is a ravenheat csi 85t

the boiler fires up , fan runs , pump runs ect
just as some heat is starting to flow (on hw and on ch)
and it starts to condence then it shuts down :(
it seems that the heat can't get away quick enough
it is driving me mad

please help because i haven't much more hair to pull out

thanks

It's better just to keep to the original thread so we can see what advice has been offered...if it's cutting out to overheat measure the temperature of the pipe at the stat so we can tell if the stat is faulty or the waters not moving.

the latest to this tale

phoned ravenheat and was told it can be one of two things

wrong polarity or spark electrode to close to flame

tried both these , polarity ok

and moved electrode further from flame aprrox 5mm

still no joy

switch boiler on
pump runs
fan runs
starts to condence
shuts down

anybody with any more help (we are cold )

please thermoman

Call the Ravers again. If they can't help you, god help you.

Ravenheat seem to have a poor reputation on this site I'm afraid.

Cut your losses if it is going to be expensive to repair and put this money towards a good brand

Ok I'll put this in again, does the heating fire on low rate for 2 -3 minutes then go to high rate and but out on the overheat stat and the hot water cut out on the overheat stat almost straight away??

No

The boiler fires up giving a full flame
for approx 2mins
it is the same for hot water and ch
as soon as condensation comes from the boiler down the condensate drain
the boiler switches off
and the overheat and/or flame falure indicator light comes on permanant until the boiler is reset , but it takes about 2mins before you can switch on and the boiler runs and lights(if you try sooner then the pump runs , fan runs but won't light)

ps

raven says that it is not tripping on overheat , it is tripping on flame failure
OVERHEAT IS FLASHING RED LIGHT

anymore input would be great - my assets are about frozen

Ok what about your condensate sensor....has it ever been serviced and had the condensate trap cleaned out?

Thanks for all these replys, it makes me feel wanted

The book says theres a condensate sensor

but we can't find one and there is no electric wires going in that area

ps

can you put an attachment ie photo or scan ect to a post ?

There are two connetions on top of the condensate trap one for the sensor and one to earth....just try cleaning out the trap and refilling to the correct level
