I live in Bolton, flooding is not affecting me, i am thinking ahead, is my house worth more today ? and even more in the short future?.

Good news,, just tell Fred Dibnah use to live in your house and it'll triple in value overnight.. (or tell em he used to visit one of his knock off's there on a Friday evening, to "sweep her chimney" )

why would people want to pay more for a house there? lol
If you've ever been to Lancashire you'd know that there a some good locations and some not so good, Bolton as good as anywhere.

I live a few mile further north, its a nice enough place I suppose - has a bit more going for it than the end of the world up here. 
However, I too live in a non flood area, because I live on the side of a hill basically, so before I get flooded like darn sarf has been, an awful lot of people would have to have drowned first. Yet I do not expect my house price to rise because of it.
We get more rain all year around so see the floods down there as just rewards for better weather the rest of the year
