I have come across a unit called Hydrosave. I would appreciate it if one of the electrical boffins could look at the system here:

www.hydrosaveonline.co.uk

and comment on the electrical safety aspect. I am concerned about how close to the kitchen sink can a socket outlet be. TIA

amounts to a thermostat / flow sensor and a solenoid tee'd into the hot water pipe to the tap..

what a load of cobblers..

stick the bowl in, wait until it comes hot , turn it off, empty the bowl into a bucket, do the washing up, then take the bucket out to water the plants..

as it's a plug in transformer and comes with quite a long lead, then sticking it in the next cupboard over is easy enough..

it also doesn't need to be right under the sink, anywhere within a meter or so of the tap should do..

I put the plug in the basin. The water starts off cold, and by time the basin is full, the water is just the right temperature for washing hands etc. :D
